STEM Bridge Women Scholarship

In keeping with our commitment to support high-performing girls, and in recognition of the extraordinary potential of girls to succeed in STEM, who otherwise would not have an opportunity to receive a high-quality education, we have created the STEM Bridge Women Scholarship. This scholarship program focuses on girls who come from a disadvantaged background, who show strong academic performance, and who demonstrate a passion for STEM.

Eligibility Requirements Female

Currently attending Junior High School (JSS3/Grade 9) and will be planning to enroll in senior High school in the upcoming school year

Must demonstrate financial need

Must have a cumulative grade of 80% or equivalent on another scale

Application Process

The application cycle will open mid January and close at the end of march. Winners will be announced mid July

Applicants will be required to fill out a general application form

Please submit a personal statement. This is your opportunity to tell us who you are and why you are a good fit for the program, as well as anything else not reflected in your application

Award

Each student will be awarded $3,500 over the course of 3 years. $1250 for the first year, $1000 for the second year and $1250 for the third year to assist with tuition

Each student will be awarded $100 for uniforms, books and school materials.

Each student will be provided a brand new laptop

Each student will be provided career support and mentorship that will assist them in making decisions and guiding their career path

Selection Criteria

Applications will be reviewed by independent reviewers who will be a part of the scholarship selection committee.  Scholarship recipients will be selected based on financial need and academic merit
